Requirements for Authorization of Temporary Installations
1. New Electrical Installations
- Consumer intending to install Temporary Installations should in coordination with licensed Electrical Contractor prepare and submit the drawings for the proposed installation to the Chief Electrical Inspector to Govt., Chennai-32 for scrutiny. The following are to be submitted :
- Drawings for Electrical scheme, Physical layout of machinery, Substation layout, Site plan, etc., of the proposed installation, duly signed by both Consumer & Contractor.
- Original remittance challan for the scrutiny fees (vide Fees G.O.) paid in to a Govt. Teasury under this dept. head of account.
- Authorization letter of Consumer for the Electrical Contractor & Consent letter of Electrical Contractor.
- Supplier's load sanction letter.
- Memorandum & Articles of Assn. of the Company, if applicable.
- Other documents if necessitated.
- If the above is submitted in complete shape, the drawings will be scrutinized for conformance with rules and standards and any deviations will be included in the scrutiny report.
2. To make additions and/or alterations to existing Installation
The following are to be submitted
- Drawings for Electrical scheme, Physical layout of machinery, Substation layout, Site plan, etc., of the proposed additions/alterations shown in distinct colors, duly signed by both Consumer & Contractor.
- Original remittance challan for the scrutiny fees (vide Fees G.O.) paid in to a Govt. Treasury under this dept. head of account.
- Authorization letter of Consumer for the Electrical Contractor & Consent letter of Electrical Contractor.
- Other documents if necessitated.
Depending upon the voltage class and capacity of the proposed additions &/ alterations, the drawings are to be submitted to relevant office
