Renewal for Permanent and Semi-Permanent Cinemas

I. Procedure for Renewal of Electrical Certificate (Form - 'D')

  • The Cinema Owner should apply for renewal of the Electrical Certificate once in 3 years by applying to the concerned Electrical Inspector, 3 months before the date of expiry of the Electrical Certificate with the following
    • Original remittance challan for Rs. 1,200/ - paid in to a Govt. treasury under this dept. head of account.
  • Note :
    • Belated application should be accompanied with penalty of Rs. 150/- for a delay of each month or a fraction thereof.
    • All the defects pointed out in the previous annual inspections should be rectified and item wise rectification report sent
    • Fire extinguishers test certificate should be valid.
  • On receipt of the above in complete shape, Inspection of the Cinema will be arranged and Defects report issued (for any defects found during inspection of Cinema) within 7 days from the date of inspection
  • The Applicant on receipt of the defects report shall arrange to rectify all the defects and send an item wise rectification report to the Electrical Inspector. (The defects of electrical nature are to be rectified by an electrical contractor holding valid licence and the item wise rectification report obtained from him should be forwarded)
  • If the rectification report is in order, the Electrical Certificate in form - 'D' will be renewed for further 3 years.
